Anticipation for a brilliant season result

As we reach the penultimate round of the APS winter season, it’s worth reflecting on what a brilliant season it has been. As all Carey families are aware, we are committed to a compulsory sport and activities program in Years 7 to 12. In the vast majority of cases, our students have found a pathway that is not only commensurate with their ability and interests, but provides a challenging and enjoyable environment so as to enhance their overall wellbeing.

In terms of results, I’m pleased to report that our First teams are still on track for no less than six APS Premierships (Boys and Girls Hockey, Boys and Girls Soccer, Netball and Boys Football). We will be watching their progress with special interest over the next fortnight and wish them well.

Carey Athletics kicks off its spring season on Saturday 10 August with the annual Year 7 trials day held at Box Hill Athletics Track. This is a compulsory event for all Year 7 students to participate in and an opportunity to try out Athletics at Carey. Students will try a range of Track and Field events and get to meet the coaches and staff of the Athletics program. Students can then decide if they wish to be a part of the Carey Athletics season in 2019.
