Raising awareness through sport

As is our tradition, all Carey students participating in sport on Saturday 3 August will be supporting a charity close to our hearts, the James Macready Bryan Foundation (JMB). James, an Old Carey Grammarian, was tragically struck down in a senseless one-punch act of violence on his 20th birthday. Now 14 years later, James still requires full-time care for the horrific brain injury he suffered. Carey has been at the forefront of raising awareness and much needed funds for young people with acquired brain injuries, so our students will be asked to wear orange shoelaces at Carey Sport on 3 August ($5 donation per student). To find out more about the JMB Foundation, please visit their website.
